About Us
The Generation Never Give Up (GNG)
is the very first care leavers association in Asia, founded in 2017 with the support of SOS Children’s Villages Sri Lanka. On 16 September 2017, the Generation Never Give-up (GNG) Network of care leavers was launched, with the participation of 37 care leavers from SOS Children’s Villages Sri Lanka, FRIDSRO, Sarvodaya and Emerge Centre. GNG is a peer support network intended to provide advocacy and support for youth facing new vulnerabilities as a result of leaving the relative security of alternative care.
Vision
To empower youth leaving residential care, creating a generation that will never give up.
Mission
To create a free, safe and inclusive society for youth leaving residential care before or after reaching the age of 18, with the support of State and non-State stakeholders.
